Announced by OC Communication Dept on Jun 23 2015

YOU ARE INVITED TO SING WITH BELLE CANTORI
    July 24, 2015 • Gladstone Camp Meeting

A special invitation to women... YOU ARE INVITED! If you are a woman who loves to sing, chorus member or soloist, please consider this your personal invitation to sing for the Friday evening service at Camp Meeting, July 24! No vocal training required, even just be able to sing the melody. This is your opportunity for the very special experience and blessing of joining your voice with a larger women’s chorus. There will be even a more joyous sound and personal reward singing with a larger ensemble when you make that possible by joining. Hesitant? Fearful? Lack confidence? It’s been years, perhaps, since you sang in a choral ensemble. Talk to me and let me encourage you! Give God the opportunity to gift you a special blessing, and for others, too. You will be singing with Belle Cantori from Meadowglade and with ladies from Sunnyside. Please communicate and let me know of your interest, providing your name, the vocal part you are comfortable singing, your email address, the church community from which you come, and your phone number. Martha Natiuk, manatiuk@yahoo.com, 360-666-9684.

  • MAKE A DIFFERENCE AS A HOSPICE VOLUNTEER

Announced by OC Communication Dept on Jun 17 2015

MAKE A DIFFERENCE AS A HOSPICE VOLUNTEER
Needed now • Throughout the Portland area

Did you know that hospice is also about living life? Help us make a difference… Adventist Hospice patients need you as a volunteer to share your given gifts. Have you ever been complimented on your listening? Are you good with tools, do you play an instrument, like to garden, or play cards? Could reading to a patient feed you? Or would just simply keeping someone company with a friendly visit sound like something you could gift? Numerous options for sharing your talents are available. Help me match you with a waiting need. Caregivers need the blessing of your time to take care of themselves. This allows them to return “recharged” to tend to their loved one. Hospice patients sometimes have no family and can be greatly moved by your presence. These are momentous gifts. And there are numerous other options in how you can help. Those interested can apply. If chosen as a volunteer you will receive thorough training. You will be treated as an employee of Adventist Hospice and held with the honor that you deserve for giving your time to help those in need. If you feel called, please contact the Adventist Health Hospice Volunteer Coordinator at (503) 251-6192 to learn more!
