    NATIVE AMERICAN CAMP MEETING
    September 9-10, 2016 • Wapato, Wash.

    The Native American camp meeting is September 9-10, 2016. The main speaker will be Monte Church; Director of Native American Ministries for North Pacific Union Conference. Other speakers include Dr. Coyote Short, professor of Geology at Idaho State University, speaking on petroglyphs and the Biblical record. Tom Matheson from Montana, will present a seminar on suicide prevention. Breakfast is provided Sabbath and Sunday. Sabbath lunch is a potluck (Salmon bake provided) and Sabbath supper is provided.  There are on site tent sites available as well as RV slots with full hookups available by reservation.     NW VEG potlucks are plant-based and FREE events. Everyone is welcome to attend! Join us for a wonderful potluck at 5 pm followed at 6:30 pm by a tasty raw, seasonal food demo by Jeanne Schultz, NW VEG volunteer and Plant-based Cooking Instructor. Jeanne is the founder of Upcycling Creations and conducts group plant-based cooking classes and private cooking lessons in the Portland Metro area. She will be demonstrating how to make Confetti Spiralized Pasta with Herb Cashew Sauce. Most ingredients can be purchased at the farmer's market. Recipes and free samples will be provided. Please RSVP to Carol, our potluck host, with the number of people attending (so we can plan accordingly). She can also help you with plant-based ideas. Avalanche Ranch Vacation Bible School will be held August 1 to August 5 from 6:30 pm until 8:45 pm. Come early and watch the “Chadder Adventures”. Movie begins at 6:15 every evening! Avalanche Ranch will provide fun, Bible-learning activities your kids will remember! Each evening kids (ages 4-12) will sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, nibble Chuck Wagon Chow, take on a Daily Challenge to let God’s love grow into their homes, experience Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s Word, and create Bible Point Crafts they’ll take home and play with all summer long.
