Better Late Than Never
by Marta Davis
Margaret loved watching Better Life all the time! On her 100th birthday, her son, from Fountain Valley California, called the Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist Church. He said that his mother watched Better Life constantly and that if someone would visit her from the church, he was sure she would become a Seventh-day Adventist. The interesting thing is that her son wasn’t even an Adventist himself!
Ron & Marta Davis, managers of Better Life, got the message and went to Margaret's home for a visit. While getting acquainted, they asked her about her past and discovered that they had lived in the same small town in Southern California at the same time as Margaret and her family. In fact, Margaret’s youngest daughter had gone to school with Marta and was the drum majorette while Marta was on the drill team! This helped them develop an immediate friendship, and they invited Margaret to an upcoming evangelistic series.
She attended every one of the 26 meetings of Revelation Speaks Hope held by Pastor Steve Cook at the Grants Pass Adventist Church, and at the end of the meetings, she was baptized at the amazing age of 100! She continued attending church with a huge smile on her face every week until 102. It’s amazing to watch God work through the media ministry of Better Life to touch all classes and ages of people across Oregon, Washington and Northern California. Remember, with God, it is never too late!
