2016 Conference Connect Focus Groups

ALL SIX FOCUS GROUPS will be offered live in ALL FIVE LOCATIONS!
As part of this year’s Conference Connect (town hall meetings), a team of our ministry directors will be touring the Oregon Conference territory to engage with our members on a variety of topics chosen to facilitate vibrant, relevant ministry in our communities.

Administration’s report was given via live stream on January 21. You can view it by clicking on the black banner found on the Oregon Conference home page, or by clicking here...

Learn what is happening with Adventist Recovery Ministries (ARM) in the Oregon Conference territory and get an overview of addiction recovery resources, including ARM’s 12-step curriculum, “Journey to Wholeness”.

2.   CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES: Shirley Allen
Let’s connect, have a conversation, listen to one another, sharpen our skills, pray and discover and discover TEN WAYS TO MAKE OUR LESSONS UNFORGETTABLE. Please share this with all of your Children’s Ministries Volunteer in Sabbath Schools, Adventurers, Children’s Church and VBS.

3.   ELDERS
: Stan Beerman
The role of the local elders in our churches is SO crucial! Please come and share with us how we can best support you. What are your needs? What are the resources that would help you? Are there events we could sponsor that would help you be even more effective?

4.   THE WHYS AND HOWS OF PUBLIC EVANGELISM: Chuck Burkeen
Is our traditional method of presenting prophetic evangelistic messages still valid in the 21st Century, or should we look to new ways to present our message? Come see what growing churches are doing and what is working today to share our message.

5.   YOUTH MINISTRIES: Randy Hill and Les Zollbrecht
We will discuss all things that are Youth Ministries: Big Lake Youth Camp, Pathfinders, Mission trips, Youth Group activities, Sabbath School, Camp Meeting, Bible Camp… and why we do all this stuff for and with our kids! On top of that, we have Ben Lundquist starting soon in our new Young Adult department, so we will discuss that as well. We are looking forward to hearing how your ministry is doing! Please come and share!

6.    LITERATURE EVANGELISM
: Andy Villanueva
