Have You Seen God Lately?
by Jim Reynolds
I was in the middle of a Bible study one Sabbath afternoon a few weeks ago, when there was a knock at the door. The man I was studying with let another man in and we invited him to sit in on the Bible study. The new guy seemed well versed in the Bible and we had a great time. At the end of the study we invited him to the Net 2011 meetings going on at the nearby Gladstone Park Church. He asked what they were about and I gave him a quick explanation. He asked if they were Adventist meetings, I answered that yes, they were. He turned to the man I had been studying with and said, "You're studying with the right people. The Adventists are closer to Bible teachings then any other religion I know." We went to the meetings and I started regular Bible studies with him later in the month. That man showing up on that day at that time.... Random meeting? Coincidence? I don't think so.
There is no sermon, song or message that can prove that God truly exists. The surest way I know to prove there is a God, is to watch Him in action. The best way to see Him in action is to work for the salvation of others, thereby building your own faith. Have you seen God lately?
